Composition
1 tablet contains 30 mg of gingseng root, 250 mg of liquorice root.
Pharmacologic action
Phytonsol tablets are included into the pharmacotherapeutic group of general tonic, adaptogenic preparations. The preparation biologic action is conditioned by panaxozides, triterpenoids, tannic substances, sterols and other organic and not organic plants components. It has adaptogenic and generally strengthening properties. It enhances the physical tolerability, favors the working capability preserving and restoring in case of large physical loads, has anti-inflammatory, gastroprotective, immunostimulating effects.
Indications for appliance
Phytonsol tablets are applied in adults as a treating and prophylactic adaptogenic and generally strengthening preparation, under intensive and long-time nervous and psychic loads for a quick and complete restoration of working capability, in case of asthenic manifestations of various genesis, during the convalescence period after chronic diseases, in patients with initial symptoms of cerebral blood circulation insufficiency (working capability reduction, increased tiredness, attention and memory changes). The preparation is used for preventing and cupping side effects of non-steroid anti-inflammatory drugs and other preparations provoking dyspeptic disturbances as well.
Mode of appliance and dosage regime
1 – 2 tablets are taken 1 – 2 times a day before noon after meal. The therapeutic course duration is 2 – 3 weeks. The therapy or the prophylaxis courses may be repeated when necessary after consultations with the physician.
Special warnings
The preparation does not influence the capability to drive. It is not doping and does not result in abduction.
Side effects
When the preparation is taken for a long time as well as in case it is taken in doses increasing the recommended ones arterial pressure may rise.
Contraindications
Increased nervous excitability, hypertension, heart activity disturbances, pronounced atherosclerosis, insomnia, pregnancy, lactation period, systemic diseases when immunostimulating preparations are not recommended. It is contraindicated to children younger 12.
Caution measures
It is necessary to bear in mind that the preparation withdrawal may be accompanied in some patients with hypotension, weakness, tremor. Phytonsol should not be taken simultaneously with preparations from the group of psychostimulators.
Interaction with other medicinal preparations
Phytonsol increases the hypertensive effect of medicinal preparations. It may be prescribed simultaneously with immunostimulating preparations of plant origin, vitamins, honey. The phytonsol effect may enhance when it is taken simultaneously with preparations from the group of psychostimulators.
Overdosing
Overdosing is manifested by insomnia, headache, nervousness, nausea, vomiting, edema development, hypokalemia. Treatmen: in case of overdosing is symptomatic (no specific antidote exists).
