Preparations with a general tonic action. Immunostimulators.

Composition

1 tablet contains: ginseng root – 15 mg, liquorice root – 125 mg, Echinacea purpura – 200 mg.

Pharmacologic action

Pharmacodynamics

The preparation biologic action is conditioned by the ginseng panaxosides and polysaccharides, caffeic acid derivatives (echinacoside, cinarin) and Echinacea unsaturated alkamides as well as tannic substances, sterols and other organic and not organic components of gingseng, Echinacea and liquorice presence. It has adaptogenic, immunostimulating and general stimulating properties. It has neurotonic, nootropic, anti-stress, anti-inflammatory, gastroprotective and anti-oxidant effects. It enhances the intellectual and physical capabilities, favors preserving and restoring the same under pronounced neuro-psychic and physical load.

Indications for appliance

The preparation is applied by adults as a therapeutic and prophylactic adaptogenic, generally stimulating and immunostimulating drug under intensive and long time neuro-psychic and physical load for quick and complete restoration of working capacity, in case of asthenic manifestations of various genesis, in the period of convalescence after chronic diseases, by patients with primary manifestations of the cerebral insufficiency (working capacity worsening, increased tiredness, memory and attention disturbances).

Trimunal is applied for prophylaxis in case of the first signs of catching cold (especially in the autumn and spring); when antibiotic therapy is performed (for increasing its efficiency and cutting the period of the antibiotics intake), when the patient is exposed to radio- and chemotherapy; incase of other states accompanied by the immune system functions weakening.

The preparation is applied for preventing and cupping the side effects of non-steroid anti-inflammatory drugs and of other medicines provoking dyspeptic disturbances.

Mode of appliance and dosage regime

One tablet of trimunal is taken 2 times a day after meal in the first half of the day. The course duration is usually 3 weeks. In case of necessity repeated courses of therapeutic or prophylactic intake are possible after the consultation with the physician.

Special warnings

When applied in the recommended doses the preparation does not affect the capability to drive and to work using machines.

It is not a doping preparation and does not lead to physical and psychic dependence.

Contraindications

Hypersensitivity, arterial hypertension, heart function disturbances, pronounced atherosclerosis, increased nervous excitability, insomnia, pregnancy, lactation, childish age younger 12 years, systemic diseases when immunostimulating preparations are not recommended.

Caution measures

Trimunal should not be taken less than 8 hours before sleep or simultaneously with preparations from the group of psychic stimulators.

Interaction with other medicinal preparations

It increases the psychic stimulators effect as well as that of other medical preparations having an analeptic action (caffeine, camphor).

Trimunal reduces action of medical preparations having a suppressive action on the central nervous system (barbiturates, tranquillizers, anti-convulsive drugs).

Overdosing

Symptoms: nausea, vomiting, diarrhea, insomnia, increased excitability of the nervous system.

Therapy: symptomatic.

Dosage form

Tablets. 10 tablets in a contour cellular pack. 2 contour cellular packs in a cartoon. 20 tablets in a pot.
